At The Farmers Market By Hana S. Hubert

" They asked you (O Muhammad) What they should spend in charity. Say: 'Whatever you spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travelers in need, Whatever good you do, God is aware of it." -The Holy Qu'ran 2:215.

We the Rescue Rangers are continuing our mission to inspire others and take action. Today we went to the farmers market to raise money and awareness. I had a face painting stand and there was fun games for kids to enjoy. Altogether we raised $168, by working together as a team, taking turns holding up posters we made. In the fun area for the kids, we had activities including: Foosball, Tic Tac Throw, Limbo, and Legos. We also sold bracelets and scarhattins which is a scarf hat and mittens combined. The colorful posters we previously made hung on the wall, advertising our group and and what we stand for in bright handwritten letters. We had a nice surprise at the end of the day when brother Murat bought us all ice cream! In all, it was a great day, and reminded me how good it feels to be with friends while raising money for such a worthy cause.
