Washington Zoo

Recently, I went to the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington D.C., where I toured the grounds with my family. While I was there, I noticed many remarkable things. First of all, the trash cans all had messages on them reading, “Are you sure this item cannot be recycled?”

This simple message encourages people to consider whether or not the thing that they were about to throw away could be recycled or not. Conveniently, the zoo has recycling cans right by the trash.

The sign also had another message, “Our trash isn't wasted. Its reused as fuel to generate renewable energy. This shows how much effort the zoo makes to maintain an Eco-friendly approach to connecting people to the environment with not only the stunning animal attractions, but also with the frequent signs to educative us. Here are some of the signs I saw:

SUNDAY'S BRUNCH

The Zakat foundation held a brunch on October 11th.We were presenting benefits of recycling as how this will benefits the world and help us to save the environment. Rescue rangers also held a survey on recycling , based on our survey results  and recycling presentations I feel that going forward  people who were in brunch will be thinking of recycling and also tell others the importance of it. Sunday Brunch

On October 11th, 2015, Zakat Foundation held a brunch. During the social brunch hours, the Rescue Ranger members organized a survey based on recycling, and received over 15 completed forms. After eating, the youth gave presentations that mainly focused on the benefits of eco-friendly living. The event was finished off with a raffle to win a pair of gloves. All in all, the brunch was a success, and we hope to hold another one soon.
