Many people know about Martin Luther
King Jr. He is famous for be a civil rights activist, and standing up
for what he believed in. However, there are far more unknown and
intriguing facts about him that the majority of people don't know.
- Everyone knows that King was assassinated in 1968. But did you know that he survived two other near-death experiences? First, when he was twelve, he jumped out of a second story window after learning that his grandmother had died. Secondly, a year before he actually died, a lady stabbed him with a letter opener.
- He had his honeymoon at a funeral parlor. No one died, but a friend offered to let him use it.
- Despite being a great public speaker, King got a C in public speaking for his first year.

King also has a lot of positive characteristics. He stood up for what
he believed in, made a difference, and showed the world that the
color of your skin doesn't change who you are. Like him, we all can
make a difference, and the Rescue Rangers are doing just that. You
can help us make a difference too, by donating books that we can give
to the Children Hospitals. Every little thing counts! Make a
difference now, like Martin Luther King Jr. did in the past, and
