The Benefits of Books by Hana S. H.

Reading is an every-day part of life that most people don't even think twice about; the newspaper, signs alongside the road, and labels on food. And the benefits to reading that? Well, the newspaper provides with you with global news, road signs to show the speed limit, and food labels to display the contents of a container of food. But what about an average book? Do fictional tales benefit you at all?

The answer is “yes!” Books do benefit you and your mind, one way being stress reduction. Any stress build up during the day slips away when you lose yourself in a good book. Tension drains away and your mind calms—and this is just one of the benefits! Knowledge is another no-brainier, even purely fictional tales often have a moral. Knowledge can be accumulated in large amounts thanks to books, along with new and rich vocabulary—soon you'll find yourself an avid reader!

Books can be an essential part of life to some people, and if books are lacking in their lives, those people might find their joy depreciating. In the Children hospitals, kids and their parents often find themselves longing for the comfort of a pleasant book in which they may dive into. And yet, some of these hospitals may lack a well-supplied library. By donating books to Zakat Foundation, we will pass these books along to the hospitals where kids and adults alike can enjoy a book—just like you.
